Acoustic Guitar

Inspired in large part by the experience of motherhood and the period of taking stock after her own mother’s death, singer-songwriter Lucy Kaplansky’s outstanding “Reunion” traces the cycle of life and the shifting roles we play as time passes, as relationships deepen or fade into memory and self-awareness reaches new levels of clarity. To help her craft this moving collection of songs (co-written with her husband, Richard Litvin), Kaplansky turned to a team of creative heavy hitters, including Duke Levine and Kevin Barry on guitar and Buddy Miller, Eliza Gilkyson and John Gorka on supporting vocals.
