I’m thrilled to say that my very first full-length music video is out. It’s the song “Scavenger” from my new album “Reunion.”
The song was co-written by me and my husband Rick Litvin, and the video was directed by Rick, with cinematography by Annie Fleming. And my daughter Molly plays a central role!
My album “Reunion” has been doing great, including a wonderful feature in “The Boston Globe,” along with some other great reviews (you can find the articles under “Press”). It’s also been getting a lot of radio play and continues to top the Roots Radio Folk Music chart after 10 weeks, and has been at the top of the Folk DJ chart for 2 months.
And “Reunion” was on some “best of 2012” radio lists, including Acoustic Sunrise on KFOG in San Francisco and the nationally syndicated show “Acoustic Cafe.”
I was just on the national radio show “Mountain Stage”, go to
to hear my performance.
And NPR wrote this wonderful comment on their website:
“Kaplansky closes with “Sleep Well,” a heartbreaking master class in making the personal universal.”
I also want to let you know that the wonderful Ben Butler is going to join me on guitar at City Winery in New York City on Sat. January 5. It’s an 8 PM show and kids are welcome.
I’ve posted 3 music video previews, directed by my husband Rick Litvin, you can find them on youtube and also on my Facebook page:
And the biggest news: my daughter just turned 10!! Just can’t believe it.
Please come “like” my Facebook band/musician page, it’s a great way for me to stay in touch, I post updates and photos all the time.
Thank you so much to all of you who have bought “Reunion”. If you want to buy it, you can get it by clicking on “Store: and I get a bit of the money. Otherwise, you can get it on itunes, Amazon.com and all the usual places.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Take care, Lucy
